▐ HEADSTRONG.
willful, once calcifer sets his mind on something, that's the end of it. he is always passionate and determined about the things he does. it's hard to get him to change his mind, unless you have a really good and convincing reason. if not, then you might as well give up on trying to get him to do otherwise.
▐ HONORABLE.
being a knight, there is no doubt calcifer would be an honorable person. this ties in with being honest and loyal as well. should he make a promise, he will not break it, even if it means death. he will respect others unless he believes that they don't deserve it.
▐ TOUGH.
there is no doubt about it; calcifer is one hot-headed guy, despite not being a redhead. he doesn't let people step all over him; nor does he open himself up like a welcoming mat. if he has something to say, he'll say it, and stand up for it unless he is given a good, convincing reason to do otherwise. he certainly doesn't need someone to lean on, and he can make his own decisions. even in battle, it seems as though no matter how many times you knock him down, he'll come back up again.
▐ FOCUSED.
when he really wants, it's rather difficult to distract calcifer with whatever he's doing. he has the excellent ability to concentrate, but more often than not, he doesn't even use it all too much.
▐ TRUSTWORTHY.
knowing the burden of secrets and the like, calcifer can keep a secret spoken to him, no matter what. that's basically all there is to it. he's not one to blab and gossip about every other person, although should he deem a secret incredibly serious to some extent, he will most certainly try and confide with a higher up, although considering the consequences of what it may bring.
▐ LOYAL.
if you can manage to acquire the trust and friendship of calcifer, then he will become a loyal companion. never would he betray you, even in his greatest hour of need, and he will stand by you and your opinions. however, that does not mean there are no limits. should your opinions go against his own beliefs and desires, he won't follow you any longer, and it really all goes down to how much he trusts and knows you.

▐ TEMPERAMENTAL.
calcifer is a rather.. moody fellow, to say in the least. it's very difficult to tell what exactly he is thinking, because he will easily change his train of though almost instantaneously. like a wild, untameable stallion, because of this, he tends to have randomly loud outbursts of emotion, and is rather difficult to calm down afterwards.
▐ RUTHLESS.
a man with no mercy, when given a job, calcifer will go all out to see if thoroughly finished. he is seen as the kind who rarely holds any remorse, and the kind of guy who refuses to admit any setbacks, errors, or problems that may occur. that said, he will try everything in his power to work around those setbacks.
▐GULLIBLE.
although he seems like the independent type who follows his own beliefs and whatnot, calcifer is actually slightly gullible on the inside. although he may not verbally say that he believes someone if they say something along the lines of, "you can trust me," or "that person is evil," it will most certainly conflict with his mental processes and cause him to think that what they say is true, whilst still believing his own thoughts to be true, which in turn creates a jumped mess of contradictory thoughts.
▐ CLOSE-MINDED.
strict on his imagination, calcifer thinks that letting his mind wander will cause a distraction, thus, influencing his performance. therefore, he likes to stay in his own reality, and very rarely will he allow anyone else to influence him otherwise.
▐ BRASH.
he may seem like a collected and thoughtful strategist, but in reality, calcifer is more of the type to jump to the offensive almost instantaneously. a lot of times, he will jump to conclusions, and make quick decisions without even thinking everything else through. he knows that his rashness may cause him, or even others to suffer, but in the end, he knows to take responsibility, and knows he too is a human being that makes mistakes.
▐ APATHETIC.
because he isn't really one to interact with many other people unless necessary, calcifer isn't one to pay attention to things that don't involve him. that's basically all there is to say about this. he could really care less about how you feel, unless he can understand that the way you're feeling is because of him.. or something of the sort. otherwise, he appears more or less indifferent about everything.
▐ ANTI-SOCIAL.
at times, calcifer may come off as a rather apathetic and unsociable individual. although he may be trustworthy, he is also a bit enigmatic and mysterious himself, mainly because the only person he really relies on is himself. more often than not, he will not confide in anyone, nor is anyone a personal confidante for him. then again, it depends on who you are.

▐ POLITE.
be you peasant or a noble, calcifer has a pretty bad, or possibly good? habit of being polite, via saying yes sir, no sir, yes ma'am, no ma'am, madam, etc, etc. now, despite this, that doesn't mean that if he says yes sir or ma'am to you, it doesn't mean that he respects you. it would do one well to keep that in mind.
▐ INANIMATE OBJECTS.
when dealing with them, calcifer tends to speak to them as though they were alive. perhaps it's because of the fact that he dislikes interacting with people, yet still needs to speak, it's unclear, but nevertheless, he may come off as a bit odd if he gets caught.
▐ BEARDS.
he doesn't like beards. in actuality, for some odd reason he himself can't grow a beard, but that doesn't change the fact that if he sees someone else with a beard, he may more or less feel repulsed by it, depending on whether or not that person can make a beard actually look good or not.
▐ TREES.
perhaps it's because he doesn't interact with many people, but calcifer has a tendency to be around trees, whether it be sleeping, standing, or sitting under them, climbing them, sleeping in them, etc, etc. along with his other quirk, he might also even talk to them at times.
▐ FAKE SMILES.
though a bit anti-social, calcifer is one who carries a constant smile, almost all the time, aside from during serious conferences or battles. being experienced with such a feat for a while, it's incredibly difficult to tell if his smile is fake or real, and from the heart, but more often than not, it is fake, almost like a small, solemn smile. the few that know him best may not even know this.
▐ NAMES.
sometimes, calcifer is pretty complex in regards to names. whether they are harmonious or utter cacophony is basically what he's particular about. this includes his name, which at times, he does like, but does not like the way they sound when his full name is completely read out.
Aspirations ,
▐ SWORDSMAN.
a good fighter, particularly with blades, calcifer basically has the cliche dream of becoming the most skilled swordsman around. of course, he doesn't just stop at swords, although they are at current, his best asset. on the other hand, he is still quite good at archery and landing and whatnot.
Phobias ,
▐ THE LIVING DEAD.
despite the fact that calcifer is almost similar in the way a zombie is, seemingly rising up from death each time he is supposedly felled, he actually has a fear of the living dead. he doesn't bother to explain this fear, and being that there aren't really any in existence, no one needs to know.
▐ NOBILITY.
as a knight, calcifer has to spend a large portion of his time with royalty, so he has a general fear of them in general, but it rises more prominently with noble women. he doesn't bother to explain to anyone why this is so, but some rumours suggest it's because he fears he cannot meet their expectations, and then he'll be punished in some unjust manner.
▐ ATYCHIPHOBIA.
otherwise known as the fear of failure. it's pretty easy to see why this would be so for the young man, and whilst he knows that he is human, and he, too, can make mistakes, he'll bring it down quite hard on himself if he fails at something.
