█ REFINED - Instructed in both the fine art of literature and science – in addition to more domestic teachings commonly practiced by women of Noble birth – Elena is as well versed in academics as she is in casual wordplay. Her sharp wit makes her formidable competition within Court to which the other women both admire and resent. It doesn’t take great effort on her part to draw attention to herself, piquing the interest of foreign visitors in a bid to win their praise and affection. After all, those particular connections outside of Viatrixian walls are what make or break someone reaching for the highest degree of prestige and global acknowledgement.
█ STEADFAST - One of Elena’s most admirable traits by far is her unwavering persistence and pursuit of personal goals and vendettas. She could never tolerate failure in either herself or those around her and has been known to push herself to surprising extremes in an effort to reach and even exceed her own expectations. Others should take heed before pledging themselves to a commitment they may not be able to keep, as this particular woman’s wrath is quite a force to be reckoned with and she does not appreciate being made to wait. That being said there aren’t very many obstacles she is unable to overcome on her own and she is more than confident in her own skills and abilities to not have to rely on consorts soiling their hands on her account.
█ PRODUCTIVE - There is no information – confidential or otherwise – that Elena Saint-Clair has been unable to sink her determined claws into. If there exists some way, regardless of how time consuming it may be, to obtain whatever resources it is she needs … she will attempt it and most likely succeed. Of course she isn’t averse to using violent or illegal means for this to transpire, which does make things quite a deal more convenient, however she makes a genuine effort to not have to resort to said tactics. After all, she’s still very much a lady and isn’t particularly fond of such distasteful measures. At least not when it concerns more trivial matters. Elena brings results, that's certainly not something to argue.
█ PASSIONATE - Regardless of whatever it is that Elena is doing, she ensures she puts every fibre of enthusiasm and genuine effort into it. After all she doesn’t believe in making it halfway and admitting defeat simply because a challenge springs up. In fact she invites such occurrences. Things become far too dull and unexciting when she isn’t posed with much of an intellectual test. She pours her very soul into her own personal matters – the Viola for example – and would do absolutely anything for its sake. Despite what some may think her sacrifices have been great and to this day she has never regretted making any of them.

█ VAIN - It’s extremely rare for a single strand of hair to be out of place, or a stray thread to be found on Elena’s person. Each morning and several times throughout the afternoon she ensures that absolutely everything is immaculate and well-maintained. She’s always perfectly manicured and made-up, but not to a ridiculous extent. In her opinion more isn’t always fashionable and well-received. Instead she searches for a balance in her manner of extravagance and pulls it off better than almost anyone. There have even been whispers she had been in contention with the Queen before the poor woman was driven to insanity. Regal and refined, Elena is every bit the arrogant and proper Noblewoman you might imagine her to be.
█ SPITEFUL - Most should be made well-aware that Elena never once and still isn’t a forgiving individual. She doesn’t tolerate or appreciate weakness in her subordinates and has quite a foul temper when she has been disappointed. False promises don’t sit well with this high and mighty young Noble, as she’s very used to getting exactly what she wants whenever she wants it. It’s unheard of for her to be denied anything and so doesn’t take to such occurrences lightly. Of course she realizes that not everyone is perfect and that they are bound to have a slip up every now and then, unfortunately she never claimed to be a saint and is hardly understanding unless you have a very good reason for whatever happened to taint her carefully laid-out plans.
█ DEMANDING - The Lady Saint-Clair asks a lot of those who serve under her, mostly because she strives for perfection in everything and it makes her look bad when things don’t follow through as smoothly as she’d like. It mostly boils down to her not wanting to be made a fool and therefore established high expectations for those she relies on to get things done in an effort to prevent this from happening. The only way in which anything could go wrong is if her subordinates don’t do what they’ve been instructed to, and that never ends well. Even close friends and confidants of Elena’s are treated to this commanding, haughty attitude … although they’re used to and have learned to appreciate such behaviour.
█ CONNIVING - Inventive and creative with the academic background of only the most renowned scholars, Elena is more than capable of spinning lies without much effort and it takes just as much to have others believing them. Most uneducated individuals are easy enough to fool, just because they tend to be quite naïve and gullible. Her fellow courtesans prove to be a tad more difficult, as they’ve endured the same sort of training as herself. However because of her determined and unusually ambitious nature, Elena has enough self-discipline to have pushed herself to strive for more than they have and equipped herself with an extensive, refined vocabulary and wealth of useful knowledge the other women brush off as insignificant or something they would never have to concern themselves with. It is in this way she has more experience and therefore more means with which to catch them off-guard.
█ SHALLOW - Elena takes great pride in physical beauty and is often drawn to attractive, polished things. Whether this includes the people themselves or the lavish things that surround them, she seems to hold a higher respect for those others would deem ‘beautiful’ and ‘winsome’. She doesn’t like to associate with the more dull and uninspiring crowd, having searched in particular for flawless young men and women for which to fill the ranks of Viola. Of course there is the odd exception but often their skills and vast knowledge make up for what they lack otherwise. It's to be certain, she's an extravagant woman and feels most comfortable surrounded by expensive material possessions.

█ EXCESSIVE VANITY - Elena is always looking in a mirror to appraise and admire her own reflection. In fact it’s almost become a compulsion for her. It’s as though she’s Adonis’ female counterpart and has fallen completely and obliviously in love with herself. Of course she realizes she harbours her own flaws – not many mind you – and none of them are attributed with her physical persona … at least in her eyes. If there isn’t a mirror nearby she then begins to improvise and look for a shiny or reflective surface to stare into instead. Many people find this behaviour quite bizarre but choose not to comment for fear of provoking her volatile temper.
█ ROSES - Lady Saint-Clair is known to have a mild fascination with roses, especially those fully in bloom and of a bright red colour. She orders them fresh from the mountains far outside of Viatrix – although no one can guess how exactly she stumbled across such a place. It may seem excessive but most of things Elena does is so there’s really no point in questioning it. She simply has an unexplained love for these flowers and often braids them into her hair. It almost acts as a symbol or representation of something.
█ AFTERNOON STROLLS - Elena finds Court to be quite suffocating at times and always takes a short walk outside on nice afternoons, usually through the gardens, so that she doesn’t become overwhelmed by the strong perfumes and lifeless small talk generated by the other Noble ladies. She enjoys the cool breeze that brushes against her cheeks and the natural, fresh scent of the herbs and flowers that grow in wild brambles about the castle’s exterior. Unknown to most, she can appreciate the simplicity of nature as much as the next person and her fascination isn’t restricted to man-made materials and fashion.
█ THE HARP - Another small secret that Elena keeps to herself is the fact that she is skilful with the harp and plays exceptionally well. She finds the soft, lulling sound of the strings peaceful and often thinks best when she’s sitting there playing. It’s an almost infectious pastime, although she hasn’t taken it up for awhile since she has been so preoccupied. One of her personal maids suggested she give it a try as she thought the music would be a therapeutic escape for her high-strung mistress. Low and behold it did indeed work, and the maid in question has since been promoted.

█ USURP THE KING - Whether it’s to replace the decrepit old fool with someone more competent, or eventually ascend the throne herself; none of this is of much importance currently. All that Elena wishes to see is positive change in the ruling of the Kingdom. It’s obvious it’s falling apart with the disappearance of the Queen and the wavering loyalty of the next heir … everything is nearly in shambles with the balance of it all hanging by a mere thread. Power should be allotted to those who are unafraid to manipulate it, and should be appointed to someone who is confident in their abilities to manage such a role of authority and influence.
█ ESTABLISH FAME FOR THE VIOLA - Elena desires for almost nothing more than to someday establish the Viola publicly and claim the celebrity and fame that they so deserve. They should be admired by others for their outstanding work and dedication to the preservation of the Kingdom with hopes to restore it to its former glory. Their name should be spoken with respect and spread throughout the land, written about even in manuscripts and recorded so that future generations may know of their generous deeds.

Age, disfiguration and death. Anything that make strip away her youthful beauty and power. Otherwise she's much too self-absorbed or preoccupied with her own plans to really consider fear. She is confident in her ability to overcome any obstacle after all.
